Greece

Greek Flag
Sea and sky are the official meanings of the blue in the Greek flag. White is for purity. The cross is for Greek religious faith, and the stripes are for the nine syllables in Greek of the liberation motto "Freedom or Death."

National Anthem

I shall always recognize you By the dreadful sword you hold, As the earth, with searching vision, You survey, with spirit bold. 'Twas the Greeks of old whose dying Brought to birth our spirit free. Now, with ancient valor rising, Let us hail you, oh Liberty!
